Sizzling Summer
Summer at Black Mountain Ski Area is just as busy as the winter with lots of activities to keep families entertained all day. Kids love the pony and horseback rides that are available all summer long. For the more experienced riders or those eager to learn, weeklong learn-to-ride camps are also available. For those feeling a bit more adventurous, overnight trail rides with a barbecue and campfire are a great option. Of course, you can’t forget the canoeing, kayaking, tubing or fishing in many of the Valley’s rivers nearby the mountain as well.
